An indoor tropical jungle inhabited by thousands of the world’s most beautiful butterflies. Watch them as they fly around, feeding on the tropical flowers.
The bugs and beasties exhibition features a huge collection of live creepy crawlies, snakes, frogs and lizards. Some of the more friendly ones can be handled at the daily ‘meet the beasties’ sessions.

How to get there:
By car: Close to the Edinburgh city bypass, off the Gilmerton or Sherrifhall roundabouts. Signposted
By public transport: Buses pass the door.

Open all year round, seven days a week
(except 25th and 26th December and 1st January)

Opening Hours:
Summer: 9.30am until 5.30pm
Winter : 10am until 5pm

(Last admission/re-admission 30 mins before closing)
