Description: Formerly the home of the Pringles of Galashiels, this is now a Museum, Conference Centre and Gallery where a wide range of Exhibitions are held in the three gallery spaces. It is also the home of the Borders Family History Society.

Additional info: VisitScotland 3 star Visitor Attraction Exhibitions 2011 Sat 2 April Sat 7 May Sea and Coast | Ros White A Cumbrian artist who takes inspiration from walks along the northwest of Scotland coastline an area of special attraction. These new oil paintings capture the morning light along the shoreline and the changing moods of the landscape throughout the day.
Sat 14 May Sun 19 June Small Works | Carol Norris An eclectic mix of work that encompasses a variety of media and subjects. Carol is a well-known, Borders based artist who is largely self-taught and exhibits throughout Scotland most recently in the Borders and Edinburgh, including The Royal Scottish Academy.
Sat 25 June Sun 31 July Land Marks | Penny Cuthbert The inspiration for this exhibition is a response to journeys made and to places visited. Through mixed media the artist explores marks, patterns and geological features which order our world.
Sat 6 August Sat 17 September Abstracting Reality | Ken Campbell Inspired by the geology and dramatic landscapes of the Scottish highlands and islands the artist focuses on the area where representation meets abstraction. Included in this show is a recent series of paintings capturing the movement, speed and drama of cycle racing.
Sat 24 Sept Sun 30 October Into Light | Colin Philip A series of work which pursues themes that originate in the relationship between folk-memory, myth and landscape. Colins images derive from the elemental drama of light and darkness that characterises the northern world, aiming for an experience rather than a representation of place.
